A new hobby

I have recently begun learning about contact juggling, a type of juggling where the ball (or balls) never leave contact with your body. David Bowie does this in the movie Labyrinth and it looks spectacular, but until storme enlightened me, I thought it was just fun CGI.

However, there is lots of information on contactjuggling.org including how to get started and some easy moves to learn, so I bought a lacrosse ball and started practicing, and I already feel like I'm getting much better.

I hope I stick with this. It's relatively easy to practice whenever I feel like it, and it feels like a lot of fun.

I didn't know they had that much CGI in 1985. :)
I keep hearing people talk about this... I'm going to have to look into it eventually, I think. I tried teaching myself regular juggling and I, for want of a better word, sucked. Maybe I'd be better at this?

Why thank you dear! I always enjoy more disillusionment in my life! ;)

Seriously, I haven't watched Labyrinth in far too long. The VHS tape is sitting here on the bookshelf, but we don't own a VCR or a good TV to hook it up to. Sigh.

Good luck
Enjot contact juggling. I had been doing it for about eight years before I started the site (contactjuggling.org), and it is surprising how easily people seem to pick it up now.

Stick with it - it can be fantastic in many situations. I find that people come up to me and chat with me as if they've known me forever - simply because I was rolling a ball around my body.
