Scriptwriting

Just a note to those of you who care about my writing: a 20-page sitcom script I wrote last fall, entitled "Second Coming", is available for download from my TV blog. The accompanying entry explains why I wrote a short sitcom script, and why it's not as polished as it could be.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud at,
Hmm. Wine on the rocks with lemon. Odd, but I'll take it.

Thanks! One of the things I'm not too happy with is the joke-density of that script. Most good sitcoms seem to keep the jokes coming fast and furious — every third or fourth line is a punchline of some sort, it seems. I struggled to keep the dialogue snappy and get as many jokes in as I could, but I feel like there's too much drag in places.

But it's good to know that at least some of the jokes I put in are worth a chuckle or two.
