Life Update

We leave for Florida (Orlando, Disney World, a day in New Smyrna Beach) in ten days. Our flight leaves at 7:30 a.m., then we transfer in Baltimore and get into Orlando around noon. It'll be a week of pure relaxation, which I really need, since work has been killing me for a month.

I got a new camera, a Canon PowerShot S1 IS, which, while only taking 3.2 megapixel photos, has a 10x optical zoom and can even zoom while recording video, which is unusual in regular digital cameras. Plus I picked up a 2gb CF card for it, so I can fit a lot of photos. I'm going to try to fill it during our vacation.

Tuesday the 19th is my 25th birthday. I get a lower rate on my car insurance! And also I can rent cars. This weekend, Sarah and I are going to do something birthday-celebrationesque while we're here at home. It'll probably involve Crazy Burger and maybe the Avon Cinema.

Oh, also, new icon. That's all for now.

Hey have fun in Orlando, and be careful in New Smyrna...it's one of the most popular places for sharks in the world. OH and Happy bday, mine's this Saturday, nice to see another Aries, lol. You should stop by here in Daytona, it's only a hop, skip, and a jump from New Smyrna, *.^

New Smyrna is where my grandmother used to spend her winters, so I've spent many vacation-weeks there as a child. Now my uncle lives near there, so we'll be spending the day visiting him.

We never had shark scares when I was there as a kid. Sometimes we'd see porpoises swimming by a few hundred yards out, but that was the majority of the large marine wildlife we encountered.

Of course, now there's that massive school of blacktip sharks swimming up the Florida coast, so we'll have to pay close attention to them!

Happy birthday to you too!

Thanks! ^.^
So you're familiar with the are, that's great! I've lived here for THREE years now and I LOVE it! Much better than South Jersey and North Carolina...though I really DO miss snow skiing very much, compromises, compromises..... :p
