Mmm, corporate whoredom.

For the past six to nine months, there has been construction going on at the big intersection in the middle of Wakefield. I heard rumors at first that it was going to be a Friendly's restaurant, but then a Friendly's set up shop right nearby so I knew that wasn't it. I asked at my bank, which is right next door to the construction, and they said they had heard it was going to be a Starbucks, but then I heard numerous other people say that they had heard otherwise, so I wasn't sure.

Today, kathryn0442 SMSed me to say that she had just driven past the site and the Starbucks sign is up.

I am a total yuppie corporate whore because I love Starbucks coffee, so this makes me Very Happy. I used to have to drive for over half an hour to get to the nearest Starbucks (in Warwick) and now I will only have to drive for five to ten minutes. I have a feeling I will be highly caffeinated for the rest of my time living here.

ugh you give me a nervous twitch talking about starbucks.
however, from being friends with raina for so long i understand what all this business is about coffee, so for you and the rest of the caffeinated world, i am happy.

Best kind of whoredom in existence.

Enjoy yourself. I'm Caramel Apple Cider's bitch, myself.

I love Caramel Apple Cider in the winter, but for the rest of the year I'm totally a White Chocolate Mocha guy.

Yeah, it's an even shorter drive for you. Lucky bum! Yet another reason I should spend more time at your place.

I have a handful of good icons! I'm just too lazy to actually use them.

How invigorating....
I remember you mentioning a while ago to me that I was a lucky person (or something to that effect) for having a Starbucks nearby. Now, you too are lucky! Hooray. Also, seeing as how I am at URI far more often these days than I am in Warwick, having a SB in Wakefield makes me happy also. I'd be much more inclined to drive down 108 than brave the awfulness that is Rt. 2 during the Christmas season.

Yay for Starbucks!

Re: How invigorating....
Rt. 2 is awful even when it's not Christmas! I am scared to go near Warwick right now.

Maybe I will run into you at Starbucks someday!

*Addition to the Yuppie Whore-dom*
God bless Tazo chai and the wonderful people at my local Starbucks who know I like nutmeg instead of cinnamon.

Consider this: We don't have Starbucks. At all. In my entire country. :O

(I just popped by your lj, hope you didn't mind :))
