Various tidbits

I had a dream last night in which the Kingston Emporium (little shopping center on the URI campus) got revamped and made much prettier, with wide sidewalks with nice lamp-posts and tables and chairs, and many more cute little cafés. mangofandango and I were sitting at a table, and violetstarfly showed up with a plate of baked fish that she was eating with chopsticks.

My parents visited us in for the first time in this apartment this weekend. Yesterday we rode along the south county bike trail, which goes from the Kingston train station to the middle of Wakefield, and is very pretty. Yesterday was also "Leapfest", so the entire morning there were a couple of those big two-blade helicopters flying in circles, and every so often four parachutists would leap out and float down to the ground. That was neat to watch!

Then last night we went to the Westerly Riverglow and watched the talented juggler who we saw perform there last year. This time, he grabbed me out of the crowd to help him get up onto his 6-foot-tall unicycle. Then for the next ten minutes, he called the 8-year-old boy helping him "Ryan" even though his name was Cameron.

This morning we got up and went swimming at the beach. My little brother and I body-surfed for about an hour until we were worn out. By the time we got back to our apartment, it had started raining, and it rained and thundered for most of the rest of the day. We had good timing!

We saw Adaptation today which I thought was great. We also have About Schmidt out of the library, and Donnie Darko is waiting for us on reserve there. Movies galore this week.

I hope your dream comes true. The Emporium could use a make-over! lol
I really want to see Adaptation. I love Nicholas Cage.

I am still so bummed that Pato's closed! It was the best little diner in the Emporium.

Wanna have an Adaptation party after you get back to school? :)
