Par-tay weekend

My sister came to visit last week, so we spent Friday and Saturday having fun doing things with her. Friday we went swimming in the ocean for the first time in a while. It was surprisingly warm, and the tide was high so the waves were huge and wonderful. I enjoyed myself greatly and thought about Blue Crush which we just watched recently.

Saturday we drove up to Providence, despite the forecast of inclement weather, and visited Thayer St. We caught the midday showing of Swimming Pool which was just fantastic, and did some window-shopping, and then went to the mall and shopped more.

Then we had delicious dinner at Pakarang (Thai restaurant), followed by a smallish Waterfire in the evening, and we watched middle-aged and older people zydeco-dancing to live music nearby, which was very cute. Once again, I failed to randomly run into cassiggity anywhere in the city, but I'm sure it'll happen someday.

I got new pants and two new t-shirts too, which makes me happy.

Today we put my sister on a bus home and now we're having a lazy restful day. It's still far too hot and humid, but at least there's a nice cool breeze to keep things tolerable.

Yeah, Sarah and I loved it. Nothing has ever really made me want to surf until I saw that movie. I bought it for her for our anniversary this year. :)

Andre is lucky. I wish I could afford a trip to Hawaii. It is, however, one of the places that Sarah and I are actually considering moving to once she's graduated, but of course we'll visit first.

Come to RI and I'll show you the ocean. (I'm not gonna stop bugging you until you actually come visit. ;)
