Eeek, mice! Again!

We have mice! I know this because I happened to look in our birdseed bucket (which we keep in the kitchen for some reason) and found a mouse all curled up asleep. Then it woke up:

So I took it a few miles away and released it. Then later when I was done showering I went to grab a cotton swab (gotta keep my ears clean dontchaknow) and found that the cotton had been unraveled on every one. Further exploration revealed a thoroughly scratched-up roll of toilet paper in the cabinet in the bathroom. I am worried that the mice are living in our towels which are also in that cabinet, but I am too nervous to go exploring in there.

I will put out our humane traps tonight I guess!

Also, I have redesigned my journal to give it a whimsical new look.

aww he's so cute. Although I wouldn't want him in my house either.. I hope you don't have too many!

Last winter, it was a pretty constant thing. I'd put the traps out, and every few nights a mouse would get caught, and I'd take it a few miles away and release it. We also had shrews, which were really super-cute!

Oh, crap. Mice! Good for you for getting humane traps.

Your new layout looks super suave!

Poor guy! I bet he was thirsty, though. We have been away from home since Wednesday night. I dunno when he got into the bucket, but he certainly couldn't get back out.

maybe instead of spending money for humane traps you could set out tall buckets of birdseed with maybe a scoop of birdseed in them to trap the mice.

hi!

Hello!

We already own a few humane traps, but if they don't do the trick I will probably try setting up sneaky bucket traps etc. just to see if it works!
